The ductile iron butterfly valve is a simple regulating valve, and it can also be used for on-off control of low-pressure pipeline media. To automatically start and stop flow faster than motor-driven valves, which operate on compressed air. You must control the air to the actuator using either the included electric pilot valve or a manual on/off valve. Valves don't require a minimum pressure drop between the inlet and outlet for operation.
