Product Introduction
In industrial valve automation systems, many users frequently encounter problems such as unstable valve control, insufficient equipment safety, inability to automatically reset after gas supply interruption, and frequent maintenance. Especially in petroleum, chemical, and pipeline systems, a gas supply interruption can pose a safety risk if the actuator fails to automatically return to its original position. The Single Acting Pneumatic Rack and Pinion Rotary Actuator is designed to solve these problems, providing efficient automated control while also offering automatic reset protection in case of gas supply interruption.
The Single Acting Pneumatic Rack and Pinion Rotary Actuator is a valve actuator driven by compressed air. It converts linear motion into rotary motion through a rack and pinion transmission structure, thereby controlling the opening and closing of valves. This actuator features a single-acting (spring-return) design, meaning that after the air pressure drives movement in one direction, the internal spring automatically returns the actuator to its initial position if the air supply is interrupted, thus providing a safety protection function.
This product is widely used to control 90° angle stroke valves such as ball valves, butterfly valves, and plug valves, and is suitable for oil, natural gas, chemical, water treatment, and industrial automation systems.

The construction of pneumatic actuator
1. Indicator
Position indicator with NAMUR is convenient for mounting accessories such as Limit Switch box, positioner and so on.
2. Pinion
The pinion is high-precision and integrative,made form nickelled-alloy steel, full conform to the latest standards of ISO5211, DIN3337,NAMUR. The dimensions can be customized and the stainless steel is available.
3. Actuator Body
According to the different requirements, the extruded aluminum alloy ASTM6005 Body can be treated with hard anodized, powder polyester painted ( different colours is available such as blue, orange, yellow etc.),PTFE or Nickel plated.
4. End caps
Die-casting aluminum powder polyester painted in different colours, PTFE or Nickel plated.
5. Pistons
The twin rack pistons are made form Die-casting aluminum treated with Hard anodized or made form Cast steel with galvanization. Symmetric mounting position, long cycle life and fast operation, reversing rotation by simply inverting the pistons.
6. Travel adjustment
The tow independent external travel stop adjustment bolts can adjust ±5°at both open and close directions easily and precisely.
7. High performance springs
Preloaded coating springs are made form the high quality material for resistant to corrosion and longer service life, which can be denounced safelyand conveniently to satisfy different requirements of torque by changing quantity of springs.
8. Bearings & Guides
Made form low friction, long-life compound material, to avoid the direct contact between metals. The maintenance and replacement are easy and convenient.
9. O-rings
NBR rubber O-rings provide trouble-free operation at standard temperature ranges.For high and low temperature applications Viton or Silicone.
