How to correctly install the Explosion-Proof Pneumatic Ball Valve

Apr 15, 2025

The correct installation of the Explosion-Proof Pneumatic Ball Valve is the key to ensuring its normal operation and safety performance. The following are the installation steps and key points:
1. Preparation before installation
Inspect the valve: Carefully check the appearance of the valve to ensure that there is no damage or deformation, and the ball rotates flexibly. Confirm that the specifications, models, pressure levels, and other parameters of the valve are consistent with the design requirements.
Clean the pipeline: Remove debris, rust, welding slag, etc., in the pipeline to prevent these impurities from entering the valve and affecting the valve's sealing performance and normal operation.
2. Installation process
Determine the installation location: The valve should be installed in a place that is easy to operate, maintain, and well ventilated. It can be installed horizontally or vertically, but it should be noted that the flow direction of the medium should be consistent with the direction of the arrow marked on the valve.
Connect the valve and the pipeline: Select a suitable connection method according to the pipeline material and connection method, such as flange connection, threaded connection, etc.
Flange connection: Align the flanges of the valve and the pipeline, insert the sealing gasket, and tighten them evenly with bolts. When tightening the bolts, follow the principle of diagonal crossing to ensure that the flange sealing surface is evenly stressed to prevent leakage.
Threaded connection: Wrap appropriate sealing tape around the threads, and then tighten the valve to the pipe. Be careful not to over-tighten to avoid damaging the threads.
Connect the gas source pipeline: For pneumatic actuators, connect the gas source pipeline. Ensure that the gas source pipeline is clean and leak-free, and install a suitable filter pressure-reducing valve to provide stable and clean compressed air. At the same time, connect control components such as explosion-proof solenoid valves, and wire them correctly according to the electrical wiring diagram to ensure that the electrical connection is firm and well insulated.
3. Post-installation inspection
Check the connection parts: Check the connection parts between the valve and the pipeline and the gas source pipeline again to ensure that all bolts are tightened, well sealed, and there is no looseness or leakage.
Debug the valve: Turn on the gas source and debug the valve. Check whether the opening and closing actions of the valve are flexible and accurate, whether the limit switch can work normally, and indicate the switch position of the valve.
Pressure test: Perform a pressure test in the pipeline system to check the sealing performance and working status of the valve under the specified pressure. If there is a leak or abnormality, deal with it in time.
