Is the electric control valve explosion-proof?

Mar 24, 2022

Electric control valve is a general term for automatic control gate valve models composed of electric actuators and suitable for various gate valves. Electric ball valves, electric ball valves, electric globe valves and other gate valve models driven by electromagnetic energy can be generally referred to as electric control valves.

Most of the pipelines are transported in flammable, flammable and explosive substances or in places where explosion-proof conditions are specified. Generally, pneumatic control valves are selected and used. Generally, electric control valves are often not suitable for use in flammable and explosive places because the electric actuator of the electric control valve is composed of electronic components. If common faults occur, it is likely to cause sparks. Risk and safety accidents are very likely to occur in places where flammable and explosive substances are transported. However, the application of the self-operated control valve requires that there must be a pneumatic valve on the spot. For example, if there is no pneumatic valve on the spot, an explosion-proof electric control valve needs to be used.
