The working principle of the pneumatic ball valve

Valve closed: When the valve is closed, first turn the handwheel to rotate the cock and sealing slide 90°, then move the cock down. With the movement of the cock, push the sealing slide plate to the inner cavity surface of the valve body until the elastic sealing ring is evenly squeezed to the upper and lower ends of the valve hole to form a seal.


Valve opening: When the valve is opened, first rotate the handwheel to lift the cock and pull the sealing slide back from the sealing surfaces on both sides of the valve body. When the slide plate is fully retracted and separated from the sealing surface of the valve body, continue to rotate the handwheel to make the cock and the sealing slide plate rotate 90°, and the valve is in the open position.


Regarding sealing: Elastomeric seals are molded into the grooves of the slide. As the sealing slide moves towards the inlet and outlet of the valve, the sealing ring is gradually pressed into the groove. The surface of the processed slide plate and the inner cavity of the valve body form a secondary metal-to-metal seal, which prevents the elastic sealing ring from being continuously pressed and has a fireproof function.


Double Close, Double Break, and Discharge: This is a method of completely isolating the pipe at both ends by means of a shut-off valve at both ends and a relief valve in the middle. Closing the two main valves and opening the safety valve increases the safety of the system. If the valve leaks, the leaked medium can be led out by the open safety valve.
