Product Overview
The APL-210N Mechanical Limit Switch Box is designed for precise valve position indication and feedback in industrial automation systems. It is widely used on pneumatic rotary actuators and quarter-turn valves, such as ball valves and butterfly valves, to provide reliable open/close status signals to control systems.
This limit switch box converts the mechanical rotation of the valve stem into electrical switching signals through an internal cam mechanism, ensuring accurate position monitoring during automated valve operation. It is an essential component in process industries where real-time valve status feedback is required for safe and stable system control.
Working Principle
The APL-210N is installed on top of a pneumatic actuator and mechanically linked to the valve stem. When the valve rotates between 0° and 90°, the cam inside the switch box rotates accordingly and triggers the internal mechanical switches.
These switches send ON/OFF signals to PLC or control systems, indicating whether the valve is in fully open or fully closed position. A visual indicator on the top cover provides clear onsite confirmation without opening the device.
