Reliable Pneumatic Actuators need to pay attention to the following safety precautions when maintaining:
1. Before maintenance
Cut off the power source: Before performing any maintenance operation, be sure to cut off the air source of the pneumatic actuator and exhaust the compressed air in the pipeline to prevent accidental activation of the actuator during maintenance, causing personal injury or equipment damage. At the same time, the power supply of the related electrical control circuit should also be cut off, and warning signs such as "No Closing" should be hung.
Release pressure: Confirm that the residual pressure in the system is completely released through a suitable valve or exhaust device. You can verify whether the pressure has dropped to zero by observing the pressure gauge.
2. During maintenance
Prevent pinching: During the disassembly and assembly of the actuator, be careful to avoid pinching of fingers and other parts of the body by the moving parts or clamping devices of the actuator. Especially when adjusting and installing connecting parts, stay focused.
Use protective equipment: Maintenance personnel should wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety helmets, protective glasses, gloves, etc. Protective glasses can prevent the splashing of parts or debris during the disassembly process, and gloves can protect the hands from being scratched by sharp edges and burrs, and prevent contact with possible harmful substances.
Use tools correctly: Use appropriate tools for maintenance operations. It is strictly forbidden to use damaged or mismatched tools to avoid damaging the actuator parts or causing personal injury. For bolts, nuts, etc. that need to be tightened, use the correct torque wrench to ensure that the tightening force is appropriate.
Pay attention to ventilation: If welding, painting, etc. are required on the actuator, ensure that the working environment is well ventilated to prevent harmful gases from accumulating and causing harm to the human body.
3. After maintenance
Check the parts: Before restarting the pneumatic actuator, carefully check whether all parts are installed correctly and connected firmly, and ensure that no missing tools or parts are left on the equipment.
Trial operation monitoring: After connecting the air source and power supply, conduct a trial operation and closely observe the operating status of the actuator, including whether the action is smooth, whether there is abnormal noise, leakage, etc. If there is any abnormality, the machine should be stopped for inspection immediately, and the operation should be continued after the fault is eliminated.
