Pneumatic actuators are classified according to the form of energy
The actuator and conditioning mechanism of the pneumatic actuator are the same as the whole, and the actuator has a membrane type, a piston type, a fork type and a rack and pinion type. The piston type has a long stroke and is suitable for occasions that require greater thrust; while the membrane type has a small stroke and can only directly drive the valve stem. The fork-type pneumatic actuator has the characteristics of large torque, small space, and the torque curve fits the torque curve of the valve, but it is not very beautiful; it is often used on valves with high torque. The rack-and-pinion pneumatic actuator has the advantages of simple structure, stable and reliable action, and safety and explosion protection. It is widely used in the production process with high safety requirements such as power plants, chemical industries, and oil refining.
The main features of pneumatic actuators:
1. With the same specification, there are double effect type and single effect type (tension spring reset).
2. The angle of the standard rotation axis can be adjusted from -5°C to +5°C.
3. All sliding parts are made of plastic bearing bushes and guides, adhere to small friction, and effectively resist wear.
4. The outer surface of the pneumatic actuator shell is anodized and plated to prevent corrosion; the rotating shaft is plated with hard nickel-phosphorus alloy; the screws and nuts are stainless steel.
5. The single-effect spring is pre-installed in the spring seat, which is very simple to install or supplement the number of springs.
6. Standardized module planning for connection and device interfaces, which facilitates the installation of ball valves, butterfly valves, signal boxes and control accessories.
7. Pneumatic actuator can choose to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise in the direction of rotation; the adjustment screws at both ends can be adjusted less than the calibration angle.
8. Stainless steel housing can be selected for special corrosive environment (please contact ARSOTA Pneumatics)
According to their power forms, actuators are divided into three categories: pneumatic, electric and hydraulic. They have their own characteristics and are suitable for different occasions. Pneumatic actuator is a category of pneumatic actuator in the actuator. Pneumatic actuators can also be divided into two types: single effect and double effect: the switching actions of the actuator are all driven and executed by the air source, which is called DOUBLE ACTING. The ON/OFF action of SPRING RETURN (single effect) is only the opening action is driven by air source, and the spring is reset during the closing action.
