Working principle
1. The pneumatic actuator receives the air source signal (usually 0.4 - 0.7 MPa compressed air), converts the air pressure into mechanical torque through the piston or diaphragm assembly, and drives the ball to rotate around the valve stem.
2. When the through hole of the ball is parallel to the pipeline axis, the valve is fully open and the flow resistance is minimal; when the through hole of the ball is perpendicular to the pipeline axis, the valve is fully closed, the sealing surface fits tightly, and the medium is cut off.
3. After selecting the positioner, proportional regulation can be achieved (for example, using a 4 - 20 mA signal). The flow rate can be precisely controlled by adjusting the rotation angle of the ball (0° to 90°).
