Pneumatic Actuator System Troubleshooting Method

The actuator is an indispensable structure in the process of industrial production automation. It is used frequently and is prone to failure due to high temperature, high pressure and serious social and environmental problems, resulting in the need for maintenance. Actuator power includes electric, pneumatic and hydraulic, but here we mainly introduce the fault and maintenance management method of pneumatic actuator system. The analysis results are as follows.

Pneumatic actuator failures include blockages, leaks, and burnt control coils. Here, we will briefly analyze the problems in the maintenance method based on these three basic conditions.

Pneumatic actuator is stuck. Disassemble the actuator, check for sticking, analyze and reassemble.


Check the pneumatic actuator for air leakage, air leakage from the valve stem, and check whether the sealing sleeve is damaged. If it is damaged, it should be replaced in time, which directly affects the function of the component and must be replaced. If the seal is damaged, check the piston or check whether there are impurities in the piston. Rings and lubrication parts are replaceable. There is also the problem of aging and deterioration of the coil, so you can use a multimeter to judge after power-on.
