Working Principle Of Flanged Stainless Steel Ball Valve

Mar 23, 2023

A flanged stainless steel ball valve operates by using a spherical ball with a hole through the center. When the valve handle is turned, the ball rotates, allowing or preventing the flow of fluid through the valve. In the open position, the hole in the ball is aligned with the inlet and outlet ports of the valve, allowing fluid to flow through. In the closed position, the ball is rotated so that the hole is perpendicular to the inlet and outlet ports, blocking the flow of fluid. The flanged design of the valve refers to the housing of the valve, which includes flanges on either end that allow the valve to be bolted in place between two pipes or fittings. This design ensures a tight seal and prevents leaks in the valve. Stainless steel construction provides durability and resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for use in a wide range of applications.
